The city of Damascus is one of the oldest settlements in the world dating back thousands of years. Everyone is familiar with the story of Saul’s “Conversion” on the road to Damascus. Supposedly he saw a Bright “Light” and heard the voice of “Jesus”. He was killing people of THE WAY- the true name for the followers of Yahushuwah. He was doing it with a vengeance. The others with him did not hear this voice according to his account whereas in Luke’s account they did. Here we have a discrepancy. I feel his conversion was circumspect to say the least. He inserted the phrase about ” It is hard to kick against the pricks” saying Jesus said this, which does not exist in the original texts. This was a Grecian saying of the day. In effect a LIE.

The PRICK was a goad which was a pointed stick which farmers used to keep the cattle in check. If they got out of line, so to speak, they would get stabbed with the PRICK. Thus the cattle learned not to fight the goading and directions of the farmer or they would be HURT.

Um, does this sound like our Heavenly Father? Does he sit up there and slap us one if we get out of line? Paul would have you think so. This is the HERD mentality. Paul goes on to promote following the powers that be in society. The established rulers. The Roman Road.  Did “Jesus” do that? Hell no! He tore down those structures the whole time he was alive on the earth. He bucked the system because the system was EVIL.  He called a spade a spade!

This false gospel of Paul is totally contrary to what YaHushuWaH taught. YaHushuWaH’s message and mission  was Luke 4:18. Taken from the book of Isaiah.

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the POOR; he hath sent me to HEAL THE BROKEN HEARTED, to preach DELIVERANCE to the CAPTIVES, and recovering of SIGHT TO THE BLIND, to set at LIBERTY them that are BRUISED, (by the Prick?) To preach the acceptable year of YaHuWaH.

Doesn’t sound like the same GOSPEL now does it?

Paul preached compliance. He preached tolerance. He was a sellout to THE WAY. The only WAY, which is being in right relationship to our heavenly Father YaHuWaH —not the state. 

Paul’s Thorn in the flesh was the goading he was getting from HIS Father- The DEVIL to lead multitudes into perdition. It was HARD for Paul to kick against the Pricks alright for to do so he would not be following the easy wide path to destruction. In other words, we can say that Paul did NOT fight the prod and kept in LINE with the societal norms and accepted belief systems of his day. He just tweeked it & followed suit.  He was a follower- not a leader- but he was granted “Apostleship” a term he makes up to dupe millions into following his new Religion…. Christianity. The original disciples didn’t trust him and neither should you. Even if he was a true convert he was a babe and nobody should have listened to him unless it could be established by two or three other elders. He basically took advantage of his learned status and ROMAN upbringing to appease the ROMAN consulate of his day. He mingled truth with error just as Ha Satan does to this day to DECEIVE millions.

YaHushuWaH was first and foremost a Torah observant JEW. He did not abolish YHWH’s covenant but rather fulfilled it. Furthermore, the word LAW does not exist in the Torah. YHWH is not a LAWYER. He hates Lawyers for that matter. Even the ten Commandments are not LAWS. They are Words of Wisdom to us for our own good. YaHuWaH is not a slave driver. He is a God of LIBERTY! He is the God of TRUTH. (not Lady Liberty either- see my post on Fides). Any of the works of Paul ( his epistles) are just that. They are LETTERS. They are not doctrine. Paul established his own CHURCH. Furthermore anything written after 300 BCE was flagrantly corrupted by Constantine. Another heretic. Both of these men talked to “God” alright but it wasn’t YaHuWaH!  He doesn’t change. He is the God that changeth NOT.

The Damascus road is considered the Conversion Experience Pathway. I myself had a Damascus road conversion when I was 19. Since that time I went through many up and down periods in my life. I went either hot or I went cold. At no time though was I not CALLED because quite frankly I didn’t decide. YaHuWaH did.  He CALLS to all of us,  but then leaves the CHOOSING up to us. It’s how we respond that seals our election. The parable of the SOWER. You have to nourish your seed yourself. God’s not going to  do it for you. That’s where your free will comes in.

If you want to live like the world and not be set apart he’ll let you. You will suffer a lot though.I know I did. Father knows best..(.Remember the tv show?)

Well Damascus has been in the news a lot lately with Israel bombing there and all. Damascus has always been an arch enemy of Israel and that’s where Paul was headed. Seems he got there after all and dragged a ton of people with him under the guise of Christianity. The word Christ by the way is Greek. It means anointed one. There are many Christs but only ONE MESSIAH. Messiah means DELIVERER.  The anointed one who delivers us from EVIL. There is only one Messiah, Yahushuwah Ha’ Messiach.
